Thabo is based in Cape Town and has recently taken up a post with South African newspaper, The Independent.
He previously reported for Reuters International, The Cape Argus, and Johannsburg-based Business Report.
Thabo is interested in covering the impact of the West's policies on Africa's socio-economic development.
He holds a masters degree in media studies from the University of Wales.
